The Bristol Disabled Living Centre offered free, impartial information about equipment that would enable Disabled people to live independently in their own homes. This included OT assessments, information about aids and adaptations, larger-scale items such as beds, hoists and bathing adaptations, through to smaller items such as kitchen equipment. The West of England Driving and Mobility Centre was also part of the Disabled Living Centre. It “helps Disabled and older people keep mobile and independent, and help those affected by medical conditions stay safe on the road.” They carry out driving assessments, scooter assessments, passenger assessments, and give people information and advice.
