Greater London Association of Disabled People

Greater London Association for Disabled People (GLAD) was voluntary organisation whose purpose was “to improve life for Disabled people in Greater London.” It offered information, advice and guidance to Disabled people; and to local organisations and London councils; provided facilities for education, recreation and social welfare; promoted discussion groups, study courses and conferences for the training of volunteers; and consultation to better understand Disabled people’s needs and lobby for improvements to policy and provision.
